“Comedy for a Cause MC Mat Wakefield promised us a great night out with first class acts, minimal organisation on our part and a big boost to P&C funds – and that’s exactly what we got! It’s not often the best of the Sydney and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals makes it to the northern beaches and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. At least one Mum admitted to laughing so much she cried. The performers – who wryly claimed to be amazed at how far they’d had to travel to reach our “aircraft hangar” of a school hall – transformed it into an intimate comedy club. The buzz around Avalon after the show was huge, so we’ll be booking in for another one soon. Thanks Mat for all your help. We’d like to keep Comedy for a Cause all to ourselves but have already recommended it to other groups.”
