Our Story
Comedy For A Cause was founded in January 2013 by Mat, who drew inspiration from his time as a volunteer events manager at the 40K Foundation from 2009–2010. During that time, Mat organised a comedy night that proved to be a huge success — sparking the idea that comedy could be a powerful tool for fundraising.
This epiphany led Mat to establish Comedy For A Cause with a mission to help Not-For-Profit organisations fundraise in a fun, efficient, and engaging way. As pioneers of comedy fundraising in Australia, we’ve spent over a decade perfecting our craft — and we’ve grown to become the country’s largest and most trusted comedy fundraising company.
